5 Family Friendly Fall Activities in Atlanta, Ga.
Fall in Atlanta can be a tease when it comes fall breezes and the hope that cooler temperatures are on the horizon. However, despite Atlantas’ hot fall weather there are tons of exciting and fun fall festive events in and around Atlanta. Here are five events that will get your family into the spirts of fall and halloween!
1. Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain Friday - Sunday's now through October 28th
Stone Mountain Park’s annual Pumpkin Festival has become a family favorite with kids and parents alike! Enjoy park attractions, fun-filled games, live shows, and more! After dark, there is a new family-friendly nighttime experience featuring thousands of carved jack-o-lanterns lighting up each night. We enjoyed the 2019 opening night and highly recommend you make a day of it and head on over to Stone Mountain for some Halloween and fall themed family fun!

2. Burt’s Pumpkin Patch and Farm just north of Atlanta
This family farm is perfect for a day at the pumpkin patch. Not only do they have a great selection of pumpkins to choose from they have animals, a hayride, maze and much more. We visited last year when our oldest was 4 years old and my youngest was just one and there was enough fin and entertainment for both my girls.

3. Ghostly Gatherings at The Fernbank Museum of Natural History Sunday, October 21st and 28th
Join them on evenings in October for this bewitchingly fun special event series featuring evening hours of the new outdoor experience, Woodland Spirits, as well as musical entertainment and hands-on activities for all ages. Drinks, including adult beverages, and a variety of snacks will be available for purchase.

4. Boo at the Zoo- Zoo Atlanta- October on the 20th, 21nd, 27th, and 28th 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Boo at the Zoo has tons of kid-friendly activities with Zoo Boo Town, pumpkin carvings, train rides, storybook character meet-and-greets, an inflatable corn maze, and more. Watch as animals are fed their special Halloween treats and don’t forget your costume!

5. Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) at the Atlanta History Center
This October 27th. Visitors of all ages can experience a Day of the Dead Festival with storytelling, crafts, Mexican food and entertainment. View a display of altars honoring lost family and friends that are decorated with flowers, favorite foods and beverages. Not to mention you get to enjoy the Atlanta History Center and their beautiful property.
