2023 Holiday Atlanta Family Gift of Experiences Guide

Atlanta Family Gift of Experiences Guide

During the holiday season, it's easy for our homes to become cluttered with toys and gadgets our kids quickly forget about. As an Atlanta family, I've made it a tradition to gift local experiences that create lasting memories. Fortunately, Atlanta offers a plethora of exciting options.

Here's my curated list of 2023 Gifts of Experiences

Tickets to Sloomoo Institute: Our family had a blast during a media visit to the Atlanta location when it first opened. Not only did the kids enjoy it, but Mom and Dad had a great time with the interactive slime experiences. Consider grabbing tickets or a gift card for the whole family. You even get to make your slime at the end of the visit. General admission is $35/person. Watch our family visit recap on IG!

@lauriemichaelson I think I had just as much fun as the kids did @SloomooInstitute in📍 #atlanta this weekend! #atlfamily #thingstodoinatlanta #sloomooinstitute #sloomooatlanta #atlkids ♬ Tap Tap (Lil Uzi Vert) - sped up nightcore

Cirque du Soleil Echo Tickets: Echo is the perfect family experience, running until January 21st in Atlanta. Having taken my girls to the Cirque du Soleil show for two consecutive years, I highly recommend it for a unique and entertaining performance. Read more about this year’s show Echo in my post here.

@lauriemichaelson This was our second year attending the @cirquedusoleil show in @Atlantic Station and it did not disappoint! This years show is called ECHO. We highly recommend the show if you are looking for an exciting and entertaining family outing. Don’t miss out, they are only here in ATL through January 21st. #echocirque #atlanticstation #thingstodoinatlanta #atlfamily #cirquedusoleil #familytime #mediaday ♬ original sound - LaurieMichaelson

Tickets to the Atlanta Lego Discovery Center: If your little ones love Legos, this is a must! Gift them a visit to the recently renovated Lego Discovery Center in Atlanta. Admission starts at just $20.99/person, and they offer annual passes.

Medieval Times Dinner Theater: Located just outside Atlanta in Lawrenceville, treat your family to a medieval dining experience and show. As someone who cherished this place as a kid, I'm excited to create core memories with my own girls.

Family Membership to your favorite museum or center: Atlanta boasts numerous outstanding museums and centers. Consider gifting your family a membership to one (or more!) for year-round visits. Some options include:

Tickets to a Show: Grab tickets to a performance at one of Atlanta's iconic venues such as The Fox Theater, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, State Farm Arena, Coca-Cola Roxy, and more.

Tickets to a Game: Support your local Atlanta teams by purchasing tickets (or season tickets) to a game. With options like the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta United, Atlanta Dream, and the Braves, there's something for every sports enthusiast.

This time of year is perfect for gifting experiences, as many local venues offer holiday specials. While I've highlighted some fantastic options, there are undoubtedly more experiences in and around the Atlanta area to gift your kids this holiday season. Share your favorite ATL experiences or spots in the comments and let us know how you plan to gift an ATL experience to your kiddos.
